1750 GTV – November 2011

I received these photos from Lionel Velez (http://classicwiring.com/) who has remade the wiring loom for the GTV.  The loom is matched perfectly with correct wire colours and markings. The loom will be on it’s way back to me soon, ready to be...

Sh*tboxes at Spettacolo

Mario Speedwagon II went on display today at the Spettacolo club display day.  Two of the other Alfas going on the rally were displayed too, and there was a fundraising barbecue and cake stall.  We’ve made some great progress towards our fundraising goal thanks to the generosity of our friends, family and colleagues.  At the time of writing the Scuderia Shitbox fundraising tally stands at $3,960 – almost at the minimum we...

AROCA Winton 6-Hour Relay 2011

Over the weekend we competed in the 2011 AROCA 6-Hour regularity relay.  This is the biggest event on our club calendar – and a pretty significant event in club motorsport full stop.  My team ‘The Sicilian Suds’ consisted of two Alfa Sprints, one Alfa 90, and our Alfasud Ti.  We’ve all done this event multiple times (this is my fifth time) and finished comfortably in the top half of the field, but were looking...
