The Parkes Sud – a new barn find

Fi and I have talked for ages about having a tidy early Sud Ti on the road.  We used to love getting around in the Madame back in the 90s before the mods for the track became so extreme, and a Sud would be perfect for our growing family of three to go on club runs etc.  Obviously the solution is to find a nice rust-free example somewhere and do it up.  Okay wake up – you’ll never find a rust-free Sud, they’re all...

Outback NSW Trip

After Easter in Canberra, our family took a touring holiday in NSW.  We visited the opal fields at Lightning Ridge, and then followed the Darling River through Brewarinna, Bourke, Louth, Tilpa, and Wilcannia.  We visited the opal fields at White Cliffs and toured Broken Hill and Silverton.  We explored the lakes at Menindee back on the Darling, then saw the river flow into the Murray at Wentworth before heading home.  4200 odd...

Capital Alfesta 2013

AROCA EMR to Maldon December 2012

AROCA Tony Hawker Charity Rally Nov 2012

Tony Hawker was a well-loved club member who passed away earlier this year. A couple of his friends from AROCA organised a club run and fundraiser for the GI Cancer Institute.  A very nice run from Nunawading out through the fringes to Diamond Creek and up to Kinglake for a coffee break.  From Kinglake we went north to Flowerdale, and then back through Healesville to Tarrawarra to visit the art gallery.  Then on to the Train Trak...

AROCA Hanging Rock EMR and picnic May 2012

Bruno and Mary from Maranello Pur Sang Motors put together a nice run today heading out of town to the North over the Great Dividing Range and circling Hanging Rock, stopping for morning tea at Newham General Store.  The run then continued across past Coliban Reservoir then looping back through Tylden before arriving back at a reserved picnic ground at the Hanging Rock reserve.   A great run, followed by some nice chat and a BBQ...
