Welcome Mito QV

We acquired this 2013 Mito QV from a mate who was heading overseas.  It’s a fun little car, with the 1.4 Multiair turbo motor giving it a nice muscular feeling especially around town.  Looking forward to doing some club runs in the car, it’s already taken us away for a couple of nice weekends in the hills.

Corner Country Trip April 2016

In April the Bottchers and a crew of friends in 4wds went on an outback holiday in NSW and South Australia.  We travelled to the NSW Corner Country and Tibooburra, Cameron Corner, then onwards to Innamincka in SA to camp on the Cooper Creek.  From Innamincka we travelled south on the Strzelecki Track to Arkaroola, then south again to Wilpena Pound.  Two weeks of corrugations, dust, and campfires in the beautiful Australian outback. Gold Coast Alfesta 2014

This year the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Nationals were held on the Gold Coast at Royal Pines resort.  We drove up from Victoria to the Gold Coast in the Alfa 159 2.4 JTDm, along the excellent Newell Highway at 110km/h stopping at Coonabarabran overnight.  The 159 excels at long-distance touring with comfortable seats, cruise control, and good luggage capacity.  It looks alright too.  1715km in nineteen hours driving time at 7.2L/100km...

Phillip Island Classic 2014

Another fantastic Phillip Island Classic for 2014. A tasty smorgasbord of machinery everywhere, both on the track and off.  A highlight was Roz Shaw’s beautiful GTAm replica brought in from the UK to compete – gorgeous in yellow and orange Jägermeister livery. Here’s a selection of images from the day.
