Two weekends in a row at Winton Raceway, this time for our own club track day with supersprints and racing. The day turned out to be quite warm, well into the 30s which provided some challenges. We had a strong field of 13 starters in the racing, which was fantastic. I had some good competition in every race, especially from Adriano (car #91) who was not giving an inch and I was unable to get in front in either of race 2 or 3. I still have a lot to learn about racecraft, but this was good close racing without taking wild risks and I felt very comfortable being on track with all the drivers.
Very happy to have taken home a class win for the weekend. The little Sud was absolutely singing over the weekend, and the times were much faster than I’ve done at Winton before.
Thanks to Maranello Pur Sang for their help with preparation. Also thanks to Barry Edmunds and Neil Choi for the photos.
