One of my favourite things about the 1750 GTV is the main instruments – two large pods very attractive.  Years ago I pulled these apart and dusted inside and cleaned up the glass – the bezels need a polish, but otherwise they look fabulous. Happy New Year! I couldn’t get hold of the factory tool for removing springs as everyone at Maranello Pur Sang was away for the holidays, so I followed instructions from the AlfaBB to use two threaded rods to lower the spring pan.  It’s painful but it worked. Current research interest is in the correct colours for all the suspension parts, including nuts and bolts, arms, shockers, springs, diff housing and rear axle etc....

I’m not going to pull the front suspension or rear axle out at my place – I’m going to run out of time or strip something and it’ll be too hard.  It’s easy to move around while it’s on it’s wheels and easier to get to the body shop.  Today I removed the last bits of brake pipe, brake limiter, exhaust shields, rear sway bar, and started on the rear trunnion bar.  Really wish I’d properly...

From Automobilia.NL, a set of leads and a plastic repro battery tray. And thanks to Robert Panetta (Manning Motors in Sydney), a pair of the brackets that fix the centre console in place (long gone from my car it seems), and a correct ignition lock in very good working order.
