Corner Country Trip April 2016

In April the Bottchers and a crew of friends in 4wds went on an outback holiday in NSW and South Australia.  We travelled to the NSW Corner Country and Tibooburra, Cameron Corner, then onwards to Innamincka in SA to camp on the Cooper Creek.  From Innamincka we travelled south on the Strzelecki Track to Arkaroola, then south again to Wilpena Pound.  Two weeks of corrugations, dust, and campfires in the beautiful Australian outback. 1750 GTV – Feb 2016

Wow it’s been a while since posting any updates on the GTV project.  We did actually start to make some progress again mid-2015, when I was able to retrieve the engine and gearbox from storage. AROCA Phillip Island December 2015

Motorclassica 2015

Jack (12yo) and I made a flying visit to the excellent Motorclassica show at the Royal Exhibition Buildings this year.  As with previous years it’s an eye-watering smorgasbord of sensationally prepared classics on display.  I do wonder if any of these cars get driven with any real gusto however, they are simply that clean.  The silver Ferrari 250 GT Lusso really left me picking up my jaw from the ground, achingly...
