1750 GTV Steering Wheel Restored

Franjo restored the Hellebore steering wheel from the GTV.  The quality of lacquer on the wood, and polish on the metal and plastic centre is incredible.  Very happy with this result indeed! <– before,  after –>...

1750 GTV Grille Restored

Late last year I sent a package of parts to be restored to Franjo Mokina in Slovenia.  I’d heard about Franjo on the AlfaBB and his work looked great and he was obviously proud and passionate for the Alfa marque.  I was really pleased to ask him to do some work for our project.  Franjo sent some great progress photos, and I received a carefully wrapped package in return, all for a quite reasonable price.  I’ll show some of...

1750 GTV – March 2012 #2

The early 1750 GTVs had no adjustment lever built into the outer headlamp units, so there was no cut-out in the stainless headlamp rings.  Our car had one of each kind, so I asked around and Rob Panetta provided me with a spare cut-out-less headlamp ring.  Apparently he dropped it off for me in a mate’s race car at Phillip Island last weekend, and it made itself known as he was driving out onto the track for the next event!...
