Great Ocean Rd

A long weekend away at Apollo Bay in the 159.  Happily the Great Ocean Rd was closed at Skenes Creek for the first couple of days due to landslides, so we took the nice inland roads through Deans Marsh and Forrest.  The torque of the 2.4 JTDm engine makes for effortless driving in the twisty bits, mostly 3rd and 4th gears with loads of go available on tap.  Only in the really twisty stuff do you notice the bulk of the car, it feels...

Tidying up the garage, now the body has gone to Sam’s.  I had another set of big shelves put up in the garage (thanks Alby!), so I’ve been able to stow away properly a lot of the car parts lying around the place.  Having a close look at the bumpers, they look pretty good and straight.  On the rear bumper there are some small dents on the corners pieces – on the little corner plates that cover the join to the side...
