Super pleased to have the Brown Hornet on the road thanks to the team at Maranello Pur Sang. The car needed surprisingly little done to be roadworthy – sway bar bushes, steering rack adjusted, one brake hose, and some wiper blades. It’s great fun to punt around in, very light and chuckable and that willing 1.5 boxer engine. It’s been a long time since I’ve driven a standard Sud and I’m not disappointed.
The Hornet has now been pressed into regular service, mostly used by Fiona for everyday driving around town. It attracts a surprising amount of attention, most people haven’t seen a Sud on the road for many years especially an early one.
