Somehow I managed to end up on a business trip to the UK in March for two years in a row, incredibly well timed! I bought a ticket for the Goodwood members meeting before the trip was completely finalised in fact, lucky I did as the limited allocation for non-members sold out well in advance. Another sensational meeting full of mouth-watering racing cars in a beautiful setting, if a little chilly this year. Turns out Australians aren’t very good at dressing for the cold, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the racing and the amazing access to the pit areas.
Highlights for me were the BIG group of 1970s high-airbox Formula One cars, McLaren F1 GTR race cars, and the incredible spine-tingling sound of the Alfa P3 grand prix car at full noise.
