Somehow I volunteered (was volunteered?) to arrange another lunch run to Maldon this year. We kicked off from Maranello Pur Sang Motors in Brunswick, travelled north through Mickleham and Konagaderra Roads on our way out of town, nipped across to Daraweit Guim, then up to Romsey for coffee. From Romsey we passed Hanging Rock, and then a quick blast on the freeway before a run through Malmsbury and Elphinstone and into Chewton. Ducking off the main road we toured the goldfield towns of Fryerstown and Vaughan, before winding our way up to Newstead and then on to Maldon. Nothing too challenging but a very nice scenic tour, and a nice lunch and an opportunity to catch up with several club members from the goldfields region.
