Great Ocean Rd

A long weekend away at Apollo Bay in the 159.  Happily the Great Ocean Rd was closed at Skenes Creek for the first couple of days due to landslides, so we took the nice inland roads through Deans Marsh and Forrest.  The torque of the 2.4 JTDm engine makes for effortless driving in the twisty bits, mostly 3rd and 4th gears with loads of go available on tap.  Only in the really twisty stuff do you notice the bulk of the car, it feels surprisingly nimble.  Very luxurious, but I’d still rather be driving the noisy and uncomfortable 75 most of the time.
